Saturday, October 27th will be a night of artistry, music, spoken word, and above all...dance. What roles do artists play? Join six young dancers in a show that explores authenticity, as they pose the question: how can we use art to be our most genuine selves? This concert is comprised of a collection of pieces, all original work, including dance, spoken word, dialogue with the audience, and contact improv. As young creators we seek to stretch the boundaries of ‘art’ and find what it means to be ourselves through our performance. The goal of this evening is to inhabit what it takes to be a light in the world, to find what transcends your soul and let that be your guide. Join creative director Emma-Rose Allen and performers Abby Hill, Kirsten Hoj, Kevin Holland, Dani Carrion, and Tin Nguyen as they set these concepts into motion. The show will begin at 7:30 and there is a $20-$25 donation at the door.
